The Digital Education Council Global AI Faculty Survey provides insights into faculty use and perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education.

As one of the largest surveys of its kind, the report explores several key areas:

  • Faculty use and perceptions of AI.
  • Awareness of AI’s impact on teaching and learning.
  • Perceived future-readiness for AI integration.
  • Evaluation of institutional AI guidelines and communication.

This survey has gathered 1,681 responses, from faculty members of 52 participating institutions across 28 countries, offering a diverse range of faculty viewpoints on AI in education.

The findings offer valuable guiding points for higher education institutions. These include general faculty sentiment, key concerns about AI integration, and areas where faculty are most open to adopting AI.

The global perspectives in this survey were made possible through the support of DEC institution members and partner universities.
