Over 60 representatives from leading universities and institutions around the world have signed the Digital Education Council Joint Communiqué to commit to advancing AI and sustainable innovation.
Leaders from around the world gathered in Singapore on 6 November 2024 as part of the proceedings at the inaugural Digital Education Council (DEC) Global Summit 2024 at Singapore Management University.
With leaders from over 20 countries, the DEC Global Summit focussed on addressing global challenges and exploring actionable strategies for the integration of digital and artificial intelligence technologies in higher education and skills development. Acknowledging the transformative role of these innovations, the Joint Communiqué affirms DEC's commitment to leveraging its global platform to drive positive change in the sector.
The communiqué serves as a foundation for future initiatives and collaborations, positioning DEC and its global partners to lead in establishing standards for AI adoption, governance, and sustainability in education.
